A tour of Myrtleford's first cemetery where district pioneers, prominent citizens & family members were laid to rest over 110 years.

8am - 8pm The Mane Event. Spectator event all day and under lights presented by Alpine Region Horseman's Association. Team penning and 2 handed cutting, come along and view the expertise of fine horsemanship. Myrtleford Showgrounds, Myrtleford - Yackandandah Rd, spectators Free

1pm-4pm North East Skate Series
Myrtleford is one of the 10 skate events for the North East Skate Park Series 2018. Free entry for skate boarders, scooters and BMX riders. Beginners to Pros welcome to enter. Under 12 to open age groups. Waiver forms must be completed by an adult. Live music, demo rider, throw outs and prizes. Come along and join in the fun or sit back and watch the action.Skate Park event + Live Music for young people. Drug, tobacco and alcohol free event.

6pm Festival Opening Ceremony
Launch of the 58th Festival with live music, official opening and public presentation of Festival Princesses. Sausage sizzle, BYO chairs/rugs, sit back and relax in the Piazza. In the event of rain please see Festival facebook/website for alternative venue details.

1 hour walk on moderately graded tracks to the Hume & Hovell Monument, Old Town Reservoir and the "Poverty Reef".

5 minute joy flight in a helicopter over Myrtleford township.

8am - 8.30 start T2Green Familly Fun Run/Walk 7km fun run around the golf course 3.5km for U16 3.5km walk. We welcome family groups, businesses, sporting clubs and elite athletes. Walkers and people wanting to socialise. Prams OK but no pets please.
