Getting here is half the fun!
no, we’re not in the middle of nowhere – we’re right HERE! Getting to Myrtleford is delightful, no matter how you’re travelling. And staying here for our Festival is even better!
Myrtleford lies on the Great Alpine Road (B500), which connects directly with the Hume Freeway. There are also lovely access roads from Yackandandah, Milawa & Beechworth, as well as Mt Beauty & Bright (so you can sneak in some touristy bits on your way to the Festival).
The express CountryLink-XPT rail service runs between Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station and Albury, stopping at Wangaratta. From here, you can hop on a V-Line luxury coach for the connection to Myrtleford.
Tickets can be bought online through V-Line (click HERE).
One of Australia’s great paved bike trails, the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail runs right through Myrtleford. You can cycle along this easy-going, scenic bikeway from Wangaratta or Bright, or come in on one of the side-tracks from Beechworth or Milawa. Interested? Read more HERE.
However you get here, Myrtleford is a great place to be. And our Festival is a fantastic reason to come here!
